How We Treat Worn-Down & Broken Teeth
Treating broken and excessively worn teeth is a two-stage process.
Stage 1 - Fix the teeth.
Cosmetic and Restorative treatments, including Veneers, Bonding, Dental Implants, Crowns & Bridges, Orthodontic Treatment, or Full Mouth Rehabilitation will change the aesthetics of your teeth by covering or patching damaged areas, replacing teeth that are no longer viable, or moving them into alignment. However, these treatments alone are not enough to keep the problem at bay forever. The root cause of the wear and breakage needs to be addressed, or else the problem will keep recurring.
Stage 2 - Fix the underlying problem.
Your dentist will thoroughly examine your teeth, your jaw, and your mouth, take X-rays, and ask questions about your oral hygiene and lifestyle habits as well as your medical history to determine why your teeth are broken or excessively worn down. From there, they will devise a plan to help you correct the underlying issue and make sure your newly-restored teeth stay looking and feeling great for as long as possible.
